Things that make you go HMMM...

Shifty, untrustworty people...
Assholes who use you...
That dude at the drive thru that looks at you like you're a Happy Meal...
The stain on my carpet that no-one else noticed (how convenient)...
Disappearing friends...
Disappearing box of Fruity Pebbles...

Daily workouts

So I have been doing 20 minutes on my Total Gym in the morning - actually alternating between the 20 min Winsor Pilates and 20 min on my Total Gym. I am down 25 pounds in 6 weeks and the only thing I have changed in my diet is no more fast food and no while processed carbs! My legs are looking good and I can run up and down the stairs at work with 4 inch heels on with no problems! Best investment ever!

Blueberry French Toast Casserole

Blueberry French Toast Casserole

1 T butter

1/2 c. soft cream cheese

8 slices of stale bread, crusts removed

1 1/2 c. wild blueberries

8 eggs, beaten

2 cups light cream

1 cup sugar

pinch salt

2 t vanilla

3/4 t cinnamon

- Grease the crock pot with the butter & leave the excess in the crock

- Spread cream cheese onto one side of the bread slices. Place the bread, cream cheese side down, into the crock.

- Sprinkle the blueberries over the bread.

- Combine the remaining ingredients in a medium mixing bowl.

- Pour mixture over the bread and berries in the crock. The bread will start to float up. Gently press the bread down into the egg mixture. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes and then press the bread down again.

- Cover and cook on low for 3 hours. The casserole will be “poofed” and slightly browned on the edges when done.

These were extra notes from the original author:

My extras & prep notes:

- I toasted the bread in the toaster oven to make it stale.

- I didn’t have light cream on hand so I used half heavy cream and half skim milk.

- I topped it all off with more cinnamon before putting the lid on the crock.

- I served this with lemon curd and maple syrup as possible toppers.

- Artisan Mom has baked this in the oven (assemble it in a baking dish the night before & refrigerate overnight; bake at 350 for about 45-50 minutes).

Who are you to judge?

I have a Facebook page. I have a Facebook fan page for my blog. I have 2 blogs - this one that I am really not sure what to use it for as the orginal plan has fallen by the wayside, and my personal blog that is about my life and family. I guess that makes 4 internet presences - so what? I can have 100 of them if I chose - who are you to judge me?

People who judge should know one thing about me: if you aren't paying my bills, feeding my kids or taking care of anything of mine - your opinion holds no merit with me. Grow up, little one.

Can't help it - but....

I have another blog @ Lynne Good and it's similar to this theme. I have the posts from it populating the top post area on this site.

Since I am ready for spring, and want to learn how to create templates or themes for Blogger, I have decided to redesign this blog for spring and use this theme for fall/winter. Something with light spring colors and such. I have 2 designs for my wordpress blog, a girl punk one that I used with my domain called "Post Animosity"

and the one I am using now. Both are darker and I want something lighter with girly spring colors and design. I will keep you posted!

I was so bad....

I couldn't help myself at all - I went to Taco Bell. It's my kryptonite. It was sinful. It was good.

Before & After

Since I am not posting my actual pics, I can at least post this:

So Funny!

It's Friday night and Mariah is here on my bed and we are watching Scary Movie 4. I love stupid scary movies, the dumber the better but I have to talk a little about Carmen Electra. I think she is soooo funny and should do way more comedy. In Scary Movie 4 she is blind Holly and is funny, but what really won me over was her performance in Dirty Love as Michelle Lopez, a "gangsta-waxer" from Los Angeles who doesn't think she's a white girl. To me, she MADE the movie - the movie was not that good - but she cracked me UP!!!

100th Post!

So it is my 100th post on my other blog @ Lynne Good!

Pics!

Coming Soon!

Sally Lunn Bread

I love my bread machine. I.Love.My.Bread.Machine. By that, really mean "I create all kinds of bread using ingredients in my cabinet." Most are good, some are terrible, but there is nothing like adding cinnamon, rasins and brown sugar and smelling it's deliciousness!

I use a Sally Lunn recipe a lot, but the texture is a lot thicker - almost like a ligt corn bread maybe. I am not sure what to compare it to, but it's a lot more dense. It's great with honey butter on a night I have beef veggie soup in the crockpot. Give it a try - it's very hearty an really delicious!

3/4 c milk
1/4 c Butter
2 Eggs
2 tsp Salt
1/3 c Sugar
3 1/2 c Bread Flower
2 tsp Yeast

Layer all ingredients into the bread machine in the order listed - make sure that before you add the yeast, make a little indentation in the flower so it has a place to rest. Set your bread machine on the Sweet Bread, but if the crust comes out too brown, open the lid for the last 20 minutes of baking.

Enjoy!

Today's Breakfast

So I read that you should always eat fruit by itself - something about it fermenting in your stomach or something. Lately, I have been eating a breakfast that consists of fruit - today's looked like this:

Researching this fact - which btw turned out to be complete bull - turned up an interesting idea: go on a fruit fast for 3 days and eat nothing but fruit and drink fruit juice. Since fruit has a lot of natural sugar, and I am a diabetic, I wonder how that would work? It is definately something I am not going to try.
Nevertheless, this was my breakfast today, along with pomegranite/cherry Crystal Light - and it was good. Let's just hope my hunger doesn't get the best of me and I grab some left over chili before lunch!

Saturday's Dinner!

I threw some chicken tenderloins in a pot with about a half a cup of water and about a teapoon of light soy. Added swirled honey all over the top and let cook down. Once the chicken was done and the sauce was good and thick, added a tablespoon of Apricot Jam - no sugar added and cut it up.

Put it on top of some brown rice with some steamed pea pods, water chestnuts, carrots and broccoli (Steam Fresh bag) and it was very filling and very yummy! I guess I will name it "Yummy Chicken!!"

Week 1

Week 1 - and already down 6 pounds! I know it's mostly water, but it's a start!
I am really loving my Total Gym, it is so easy and fun and just folds right back up like an ironing board. So easy! Bring on the summer!

Second Workout Day!

So today was day 2 on my new workout - and let me tell you how good it was!
I started my workout with 11 minutes of interval on my Gazelle:

(No, this  is not me)
Excercise

I then used my Total Gym Platinum for a 30 minute lower body workout, and let me tell you - I had forgotten about more than one of those muscles! I am really going to be feeling it!!

Exercise

Mine came with the ab pads - the things with the pads and handles and it is the best ab workout - EVA!

I also - in a moment of lazy weakness, but hey, we all have them, purchased the Contour. I put that on for a 45 minute routine while I did all of the other exercises:

Exercise

Now the Contour will NOT help you lose weight, but while you are losing weight, it can help tighten your abs. Or so they say, so I will be using these 3 items for my workouts and I will let you know.

On alternating days, I use the Mari Winsor Pilates program with the circle:
Exercise

Now about 2 years ago when I got the Winsor Pilates package, I followed it and saw great results. I was leaner, more flexible and my jeans fit great.

However, I sat down to watch a movie one and day and didn't get back up for 2 years. It happens to us all....

Daily Posts

My first daily post is today. Today I chose to perform upper body BFL exercises on my TG and include abs.
My abs are already shredded - but no pain no gain, right?

Before & Afters

So I decided that even though I have started my workout routine to not publish my before pic yet until I have a comparison.
